Basic Obedience is a 7- week curriculum for dogs that are 6 months and older. This course provides a solid foundation that will enhance the relationship between you and your dog. Basic Obedience serves as a building block for more advanced training. Once your dog master’s the basics, they are better prepared to tackle more complex tasks and tricks. Whether you aspire to train your dog for agility, therapy work, or specialized service tasks, a solid foundation in basic obedience is the first step in reaching your goal.

The course covers leash training, essential commands (e.g., watch me, sit, wait, down, stay, recall), impulse control, and polite manners. It also addresses common behavioral issues like jumping, barking, chewing and leash pulling.

Training emphasizes real-life application, helping owners establish structure and boundaries at home while meeting their dog’s physical, social, and psychological needs. Beyond obedience, the course strengthens the bond between owner and dog, fostering trust, communication, and cooperation.

Weekly Classes are progressive as not to overwhelm you or your canine. Each week you will receive detailed step by step handwritten homework for take home practice with your pup.
