Our approach to dog behavior is to first establish pet parent’s role as calm assertive loving leaders. We encourage dog owners to understand the effect of their own attitudes, internal emotions and physical postures that have an effect on their dog’s behavior.
We strongly advocate that training should be positive and consistent. Training isn’t just about commands- it’s about guidance, balance, structure, clear communication and patience.
We offer a broad range of educational programs and services, such as obedience classes, puppy kindergarten, behavioral training, and more. Our goal is to help dog guardians better understand how their dogs learn and communicate, and how to effectively bridge that communication using proven positive reinforcement methods.

Basic Obedience

Public Manners puts your dog in “real-world” situations while remaining in a semi- controlled environment.
Agility/Obstacle
Our Agility/ Obstacle Course class is designed for handlers & their dog have fun together and build a stronger bond.
Fearful Fido
This course concentrates on building confidence in your dog to help them face their fears in a safe and productive way
Reactive Rover
We focus on helping your dog learn coping & social skills, and building their confidence to change your dog’s reactive behavior.
Our Philsophy
At Training Your Best Friend LLC, we practice only positive reinforcement methods and do not support punishment-based practices. We promise to always treat you and your dog with respect and patience, and to work within your dog’s comfort zone – and yours! While we do encourage you to challenge yourself and your pet during class or at home, we want you to have fun and to enjoy the learning process.
Setting you and your pet up to succeed is our top priority. We are passionate about educating owners on canine behavior and use modern positive reinforcement training techniques. Training is not about imposing your will on your dog; it’s not about making your dog fearful or breaking his will. It’s giving him the tools he needs to live in your world. Our approach to dog training is based on having a positive experience for both dog and owner.
